Babies and BBQ in KC

I haven't seen my family in Missouri in a couple years and one of my cousins was having a baby shower and other cousins were coming from Texas and Boston so I decided to come and visit with everyone. Actually two cousins were pregnant. One with twins, all three babies were girls and all due on the same day. The shower was at the Webster House which is a beautiful old school house (see photo below).

Of course a must when in Kansas City is to have some BBQ...unfortunately I was only there for two nights so I didn't get to wander around too much...next time!

Redondo Beach 31st Annual Super Bowl Sunday 5K/10K

Every Superbowl Sunday Redondo Beach hosts a 5K/10K. Some of the runners take this race very seriously but for the rest of us find it just a way to have fun and get some exercise too. Good thing that there is some coastal fog this morning.
