Toyota Grand Prix Of Long Beach 2009

Most every year I come to the Long Beach Grand Prix. I am not a huge race fan but I love watching a bit of the race, walk around and look at all of the booths, watch a bit of the race, have some food and watch a bit of the race. This year it was 100 degrees...at the beach and they said 119 on the track. (notice Queen Mary and the dome where the Spruce Goose use to be in the background).

Dario Franchitti, Ashley Judds Husband, wins the race.

Danica Patrick comes in Fourth but IIRC she started in the 22 position which was very impressive.

I had to take the photos of the cars during the caution because when they are going full speed I couldn't get a picture. :)

I have been meaning to check out this place since I first found out that the building they used in the TV show Fantasy Island was located at the Arboretum (It was a stupid show but I loved it when I was a kid).

One Night In Oceanside And The Drive Home...Don't Try This At Home.

My friend invited me to come down and meet up with her in Oceanside which is just a couple hours from LA. I hate driving but I think she was tired of me and my excuses so I decided to get away for one night. It was a fun night out but the next day I had the dreaded drive home so I shot some photos while driving (is there a law against that?).
